Listening to Gabriel's Oboe (from The Mission, a fantastic movie if you've never seen it!) makes me remember how wonderful it is to gets strings to move like that under your fingers . . . Oh the joy of getting that mesmerizing little wooden box strung with "sheep's guts" to "hail men's souls from their bodies"! The fascination (and sometimes frustration!) of trying to spin streams of magic silk from simple horsehair!
Isn't it awesome how God makes such beautiful charm from such plain materials? And then helps humans figure out how to make them work? I love it! :)
